About Meg
Throughout my life, I have been surrounded in the world of sports. From practicing track and field myself to attending my brother's baseball games, athletic competition has been a constant presence. Even at home, the sounds of Sportscenter or ESPN echo through our living room, enhancing my passion for sports.
Since I was young, I've always wanted to be the friendly face people see when they watch TV in the morning. As a lifelong athlete, my affinity for sports naturally steered my career aspirations.
It wasn't until a pivotal moment in high school when a teacher questioned the possibility of a woman pursuing a career in sports that my passion truly solidified. Despite the discouragement, I remained steadfast that my career in sports was not only attainable but also my ultimate dream.

I am a dedicated senior at Waynesburg University, pursuing a degree in sports media with a concentration in announcing.
Over the course of my years at Waynesburg University, I have actively contributed to various media outlets, showcasing my talents in broadcasting and journalism. Serving as talent for all on-air shows for Waynesburg Community Television (WCTV), I have honed my skills as a play-by-play commentator, color commentator, and sideline reporter for the Waynesburg University Sports Network (WUSN). Additionally, I have taken on roles as a play-by-play commentator, color commentator, and radio host for our university station (WCYJ-FM). In my capacity as social media director, I have overseen all social platforms for both WCTV and WUSN.
Currently, I hold multiple key positions within our university media landscape. I continue to excel as a play-by-play commentator and color analyst for WUSN, providing dynamic coverage of our university's sports events. Additionally, I host Feel Good Friday on WCYJ-FM, engaging listeners with upbeat content. Beyond broadcasting, I contribute as a sports editor and writer for our university newspaper, The Yellow Jacket.
Now as I continue my senior year, I have received the highest distinction of being awarded the position of General Manager for WCTV. In this position I will oversee all television productions, the crew list for each production, my executive staff, and the budget for WCTV.
Throughout my time, I have been awarded with reporter of the year for 2024 and a bronze Telly award for my producing of Jacket Sports Weekly in the 2023-24 school year.
Outside of my major, I am a proud captain of the Women's Track and Field team, where I compete in diverse events including javelin, shot put, long jump, and short sprints. Embracing a commitment to service, I am honored to be a Bonner Scholar, engaging in 140 hours of community service each semester across multiple counties. Notably, I have dedicated two summers to community service, including a transformative experience in Custer, South Dakota, where I contributed to the establishment of a ministry at The State Game Lodge.
In my free time, I find joy in attending bible studies, practicing my faith through church activities, and pursuing personal interests such as powerlifting, cooking, and avidly following football and baseball.
My diverse experiences both within and outside of my major have shaped me into a well-rounded individual with a passion for media, athletics, and community service. I look forward to applying these skills and experiences to make a positive impact in my future.
